Notably, the wastewater treatment plant under the project on water quality improvement in the area of Japanese Bridge (Chua Cau) in Hoi An city costs 250 billion VND from Japanese Government's non-refundable aid and Vietnam’s reciprocal capital.

The plant was put into operation last year. According to Vice Chairman of the Hoi An People’s Committee Nguyen Van Son, the support of finance, human resource, technique and waste classification from foreign organizations and foreign governments for the clean environment to Hoi An is very important.
