Calling for Thai investors in Quang Nam
(QNO) - Thai Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Apirat Sugondhabhirom and his wife paid a courtesy visit to Quang Nam province on December 13.
At the reception, Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam People's Committee Tran Dinh Tung informed his guests of the provincial socio-economic situation.
Quang Nam established the relationship with Thailand’s Ubon Ratchathani province in 2014. Since then, a series of cultural exchanges, introductions of potential and investment promotion between two sides have been organized.
There are 5 Thai enterprises investing in the fields such as animal feed, wood processing, garment in Quang Nam now. Mr. Tung said Quang Nam and Thailand have strengths in tourism, agriculture, education.
He hoped Consul General Apirat Sugondhabhirom to be bridge between Thailand and Quang Nam in cultural exchange and investment promotion, contributing to building the sustainable traditional friendship between Vietnam and Thailand in general, Quang Nam and Ratchathani in particular.
Thai Consul General Apirat Sugondhabhirom thanked the warm welcome from Quang Nam leader and congratulated Quang Nam on its socio-economic achievements in recent years. At the same time, he highly appreciated the tourism potentials of Quang Nam and favorable traffic conditions when the East-West economic corridor was built.
The Thai Consul General believed the cooperation on tourism development between the two localities will achieve good results in the coming time. He will help Quang Nam call for Thai investors in the locality.
