Vietnamese military donates medical supplies to Lao and Cambodian military

(QNO)- Vietnam has intensified aid for Cambodia and Laos in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic by providing different kinds of support.

On April 16, the 5th Military Region and Military Commands of 9 provinces and cities of Quang Nam, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Dak Lak, Dak Nong handed over medical equipment for the prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic to Lao and Cambodian military units, including: the 5thInfantry Division, the 4th Military Headquarters Southern Laos, the Royal Cambodian Army.

There are 12 supported items including infrared thermometers, protective clothing, antiseptic, medical face masks and gloves, dry food. They cost over VND 4.7 billion including VND 350 million from Quang Nam province.

At the handover ceremony in the 5th Military Region, Lao and Cambodian armies thanked for the support from Vietnam’s armed forces and hoped to foster the cooperation,  share information in the fight against Covid-19.
