Quang Nam leader extends greetings to Champasak on Bunpimay
(QNO) - Quang Nam Party Secretary Phan Viet Cuong and provincial officials visited Champasak province (Laos) to extend greetings on the occasion of Lao traditional New Year festival (Bunpimay) on April 12.
On behalf of the Party Committee, authorities and people of Quang Nam province, Party Secretary Cuong sent New Year wishes for health, happiness and prosperity to the leaders and people of Champasak province.
Mr. Cuong wished the Quang Nam – Champasak and Vietnam - Laos special friendships to be sustainable forever.
At the meeting, Governor of Champasak province Vilayvong Butdakham thanked Quang Nam leaders, authorities and people for the emotions given to Champasak province.
At the same time, the leader of Champasak hoped the two provinces to promote cooperation in the coming time, especially in the fields of tourism, agriculture and culture.
He desired Quang Nam to support to introduce tourism destinations of Champasak province and Laos to Quang Nam and Vietnam.
Earlier, a delegation led by Party Secretary Cuong visited the Consulate General of Viet Nam in Pakse (Laos) on Bunpimay festival.
Party Secretary hoped the Consulate General of Vietnam in Pakse continuing their contribution to strengthening the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Quang Nam province and southern Lao provinces as well as between Vietnam and Laos.
