Vietnam – South Korea cooperative relationship
(QNO) - The Consulate General of South Korea in Da Nang city celebrated South Korea’s National Day (October 3, 1949 - 2022) on October 7. Present at the event was Deputy Chairman of the Quang Nam People’s Committee Tran Van Tan.
Speaking at the event, South Korean Consul General Ahn Min-sik talked about the Viet Nam - South Korea diplomatic ties continuously fostered and deepened, especially in bilateral trade.
Trade turnover between the two countries increased from US$500 million at the time of establishing diplomatic relations in 1992 to US$80.6 billion in 2021. It is prospected to reach US$100 billion in 2022.
South Korea is now the Vietnam's largest investor while Vietnam is the South Korea’s fourth largest trading partner.
In 2019, Vietnam welcomed about 4,3 million South Korean tourists. 1.8 million among them came to Central Vietnam including Quang Nam province.
On this occasion, Mr. Ahn Min Sik thanks individuals who have made positive contributions to the Vietnam - South Korea friendship over the years.
