Press Conference on the 6th Quang Nam Heritage Festival 2017

(QNO) - According to Deputy Minister of Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Huynh Vinh Ai at the conference on the 6th Quang Nam Heritage Festival 2017 just organized in Ha Noi city, the festival will take place in the cities of Tam Ky and Hoi An and other parts of Quang Nam province from June 7-14 with 22 different events.

There are the International Choir Competition with the participation of 1,500 artists from 15 countries and territories around the world; the International Kite Festival with 200 artisans from 12 countries; the International Silk-Brocade Festival; the World Windsurfing Championship; the Vietnam Open Sailing Race; the International Food Festival; the Exhibition of Vietnam’s sea and islands….

At the conference, Director of the Quang Nam provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Dinh Hai said the 6th Quang Nam Heritage Festival aims to propagate the local sea and islands to tourists. Therefore, the opening of the festival will be organized in Tam Thanh beach (Tam Ky city) with the theme “Tam Thanh- 2017 Summer Feelings”. Recently, Tam Thanh has also been attractive to tourists thanks to the wall-painting village under a community art exchange project between Vietnam and South Korea. At present, the project of art coracle streets describing the local beautiful landscapes and people is carried out in Tam Thanh village for further development of community-based tourism.
