According to Director of the Hoi An Center for Culture and Sports Vo Phung, Bai choi has been introduced in the “Night at Hoi An ancient town” programme organised every night since 1999. Thanks to the attraction of Hoi An ancient town to visitors, Bai choi art has been revived. Bai Choi art is really an important part of cultural life and spirit and an exciting tourism product in Hoi An.

In Hoi An, Bai choi is an indispensable part of the art show regularly taking place in the city. It is present in communes, wards, schools, businesses and tourist destination. Many localities of Quang Nam are looking for ways to Bai choi club to build special cultural tourism products. Example, Tam Thanh Bai choi club is planning to turn this kind of folk art to frequent tourist activity in Tam Thanh 2019.

Preserving Bai choi heritage

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has recently launched the national action programme to preserve Bai choi art in Central Vietnam. So, the Quang Nam People’s Committee has made a detailed plan to honor the values of this intangible cultural heritage. Accordingly, Bai choi will appear as a cultural tourism product.

Bai choi will be taught in Quang Nam schools.

The preservation and promotion of the heritage values of Bai choi in the period 2019-2025 includes attracting communities in the conservation, stocktaking, storage, and digitizing databases. Besides, Bai choi art will be performed in local events for its popularity. The training courses for Bai choi art will be paid attention to strongly in the coming time.
