Preservation of traditional Co Tu culture

(QNO) - Among 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam, the Co Tu people have a rich and unique culture. Village elders play a key role in preserving traditional skills, such as carving, gong performances, brocade weaving, and decorating village communal houses (gươl).

The gươl is often decorated with familiar animals and spiritual symbols, such as roosters, Mother of the forest, snakes, centipedes, birds, and scenes of daily life, including hunting, farming, and festivals.
