(QNO) - The 1.5km road of painted coracles has just been revived in Tam Thanh, Tam Ky city, Quang Nam province. It is the Vietnmam’s first and largest collection of coracles.
The paintings on the coracles vividly describe the local people, culture and their daily lives in Tam Thanh fishing village. The revivification project on Tham Thanh coracles road is a preparation for the Tam ky Sea Festival 2019 between June 13 and 16.
The coracles road is believed to be attractive to tourists during the week of Tam Ky Sea Festival 2019. Besides, Tam Thanh commune owns a beautiful beach and a mural village. These places and the unique coracles will make tourists enthralled.
Tam Thanh commune has also made some trial tourism products including cruising on the Truong Giang river and homestay services.
Tam Ky Sea Festival 2019 aims to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Hoi An ancient town and My Son Sanctuary recognized by UNESCO as the World Cultural Heritage Sites and 10th anniversary of Cham Islands recognized as the World Biosphere Reserve.
