Vietnam- Laos special relationship
(QNO) - An exchange of the Vietnam - Laos Solidarity and Friendship Year 2022 has just been held in Phu Ninh district (Quang Nam province) on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Vietnam - Laos diplomatic relations (1962 – 2022), and 45 years of the Vietnam - Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (1977-2022).
Present at the event were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee Le Van Dung, Chairman of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association Tran Anh Tuan, Consul General of the Lao PDR to Da Nang City Souphanh Hadaoheuang and representatives of provincial departments and agencies.
Giving a speech at the event, Chairman of the Phu Ninh district’s People’s Committee Huynh Xuan Chinh said the recent events are really significant, contributing to fostering the special relationship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.
Phu Ninh district has so far done a lot of activities to further strengthen the friendship and solidarity between the two countries. The twinning of Phu Ninh and Tha Teng district (Sekong province) is an evidence.
The Vietnam - Laos relationship has been preserved and nurtured. It is considered as an invaluable asset of two Parties, two countries, and two peoples along the Annamite Range.
Quang Nam supported Lao people in their struggle for national liberation and has been helping them with livelihoods, disaster prevention, and border management.
Besides, Quang Nam has been helping Laos to train human resources.
On this occasion, the delegation from the Consulate General of Laos in Da Nang city and Lao students in Quang Nam visited the Lower Laos Zone for Resistance War in Phu Thinh town of Phu Ninh district.
