(QNO) - Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee Tran Anh Tuan had a reception for the delegation of World Vision Vietnam led by its leader Doseba Tua Sinay on March 15.
Since 1997, World Vision International has supported Quang Nam with various programs and projects which have brought practical effectiveness to beneficiaries, improving local lives, especially those in mountainous regions, contributing to the provincial socio-economic development.
Mr. Tuan said, World Vision International is the longest and most sustainable foreign Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in Quang Nam.
So, he hoped to continue receiving more support from World Vision International in the coming years.
On this occasion, two sides discussed upcoming projects that World Vision International plans to implement in Quang Nam.
Both sides committed to coordination programs for supporting local livelihoods, microfinance, welfare, education, healthcare, preventing child labor in Quang Nam.
Reportedly, World Vision International supported Quang Nam with about 40 billion VND/year on average, accounting for 1/5 of the total aid value of foreign NGOs in the province.
