(QNO) - A delegation from the Veterans Association of Sekong province (Laos) led by its President Soneny Ngeaumdarern has just had a working visit to Quang Nam province.
At the reception, on behalf of Quang Nam leaders, Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee Ho Quang Buu highly appreciated the Sekong veterans’ visit and Quang Nam - Sekong Veterans Associations’ cooperation.
At the same time, Mr. Buu informed his guests of Quang Nam socio-economic growth.
Mr. Buu said the national defense and security in the border area between the two provinces of Quang Nam and Sekong has always been stable. The border sovereignty has been maintained. People's lives in the border areas have had many positive changes.
In reply, Mr. Soneny Ngeaumdarern thanked for Quang Nam leaders’ warm welcome.
He hoped the Sekong’s Veterans Association continues to receive the support from Quang Nam to better the traditional relationship of the Sekong’s and Quang Nam’s Veterans Associations in particular and the two localities in general.
Earlier, the Sekong and Quang Nam Veterans Associations visited the Vietnamese Heroic Mother Monument in Tam Ky city, Quang Nam province.
