(QNO) - Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh played host to the delegation from Japan - Vietnam Council for Peace and Friendship (JVPF) of Saitama Prefecture (Japan) on August 10.

At the meeting, Chairman Thanh thanked the JVPF Saitama for its help and support to the victims of Agent Orange and dioxin in Quang Nam province over the years.
So, Mr. Thanh presented the Certificate of Merit to the JVPF Saitama and writer Hiramatsu Tomoko - Deputy of the JVPF Saitama.
Also at the meeting, Mr. Thanh informed his guests of the 19th Hoi An - Japan Cultural Exchange 2023 just taking place in Hoi An city (Quang Nam province).
In 2023, Vietnam and Japan mark an important milestone of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (September 21, 1973 - September 21, 2023).

In reply, the members of the JVPF Saitama expressed their sympathy to the Quang Nam people over the pain they are suffering from Agent Orange and dioxin. So, they hoped, in the future, the JVPF can call for more support for Agent Orange and dioxin victims in Quang Nam.
JVPF Saitama has been operating in Quang Nam since 2011.
