(QNO) - Quang Nam has just inaugurated the Centre for Data Integration (DIC), Wide Area Network (WAN), and the Centre for Information Security Operations (SOC).
The event was aimed at responding to National Digital Transformation Day (October 10, 2023) and raising people’s awareness of the importance of digital transformation in life and national socio-economic and cultural development.
According to Pham Hong Quang, Director of the Quang Nam Department of Information and Communications, digital transformation is an inevitable trend.
The goal of Quang Nam is to create synchronous and comprehensive digital transformation throughout the province, develop a convenient and safe digital environment, then build a digital government, a digital economy, and a digital society by 2023.
The inauguration of IDC, WAN, and SOC helps upgrade the infrastructure of the provincial data centre, ensuring the capacity to deploy digital government and urban smart cities in Quang Nam province.
The DIC is under the provincial project on building Quang Nam e-government and digital government in the period of 2021-2025.
The Quang Nam DIC focuses on developing digital infrastructure and digital flatform, ensuring the provincial capacity to deploy digital government and smart urban areas.
Quang Nam is also ready to connect and share its data sources with Central and other localities’ data systems via WAN in order to upgrade an e-government that can serve administrative reform well.
The SOC will detect and warn early, coordinate, and handle local information security risks and incidents.
