(QNO) - Secretary of the Quang Nam provincial Party Committee Phan Viet Cuong and Chairman of the Quang Nam People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh played host to the Indian delegation led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Vietnam Pranay Verma on March 28.
At the meeting, Secretary Cuong mentioned the Indian Film Week and Vietnam – Indian cultural festival recently organised in Quang Nam.
Reportedly, Indian experts supported Quang Nam to restore and preserve the towers groups of H, K in My Son Sanctuary.
734 artifacts were discovered by Vietnamese and Indian experts, including a set of sandstone lingam – yoni, a Vietnam’s national treasure.
Secretary Cuong hoped Indian experts to come back soon to complete the restoration of tower group A in My Son Sanctuary before the rainy season in 2022.
In addition, Mr. Cuong suggested Indian Ambassador Pranay Verma supporting Quang Nam in tourism promotion such as introducing Quang Nam tourism potential and products to India, calling for Indian tourists to My Son - Quang Nam.
Besides, he recommended Indian Ambassador Pranay Verma to call for Indian investors in the fields of pharmacy, electronic components production, information technology in Quang Nam.
In reply, Indian Ambassador Pranay Verma to Vietnam thanked Quang Nam’s leaders and hoped for more cooperation in 2022.
Mr. Pranay Verma felt pleased and happy with the meaningful Vietnam - India cultural festival on March 28 in My Son Sanctuary.
At the same time, the event of National Tourism Year – Quang Nam 2022 is also a good opportunity to develop cooperative relations, promote cultural exchanges and people-to-people diplomacy, and connect Quang Nam with Indian partners.
He also informed of Indian experts’ arrival to Vietnam next month to complete the My Son Sanctuary restoration project.
