(QNO) - A celebration was held in Sekong province of Laos on September 27 on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Vietnam - Laos Diplomatic Relations (1962 - 2022) and 45 years of Vietnam - Laos Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation (1977 - 2022).
The delegation from Quang Nam province led by its Party Committee Phan Viet Cuong was present at the event.
At the event, Secretary of the Party Committee and Governor of Sekong province Leklai Sivilay talked about the history of the Vietnam - Laos Diplomatic Relations and Vietnam - Laos Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation.
He said the meeting contributed to help cadres, party members, armed forces and people of the two countries, especially the young generation to be deeply aware of the great relationship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and peoples of Vietnam and Laos.
Speaking at the event, Secretary Cuong affirmed the meeting was a meaningful event to honor the great and special friendship between the two countries and help the peoples of the two sides, especially the young generation understand more deeply about this relationship.
On this occasion, Secretary Cuong offered 500 million VND to help Sekong province overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
