(QNO) - On the occasion of Bunpimay (Lao traditional New Year) 2023, a high-ranking delegation from Quang Nam province led by Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Van Dung visited and extended New Year wishes to Laos’ Sekong leaders and people on April 8.
Sekong leaders including Party Secretary and Governor Lechlay Sivilay received the Quang Nam delegation.
At the meeting, on behalf of the Quang Nam provincial delegation, Permanent Deputy Secretary Dung sent the best wishes to Sekong people and authorities, wishing Sekong in particular and Lao People’s Democratic Republic in general more prosperity.
At the same time, Mr. Dung briefly informed of the situation of the cooperative relationship between Quang Nam and Se Kong provinces in education, security and defence, transport, socio-economic development…
On the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the two provinces, Mr. Dung suggested Se Kong province facilitating the completion of the traffic system from Se Kong to Nam Giang - Dak Ta Ooc international border gate along with the East - West Economic Corridor, creating a driving force to promote economic growth and cultural exchange between the two provinces as well as between Quang Nam and the southern provinces of Laos.
On behalf of the leaders of Sekong province, Party Secretary and Governor of Sekong province Lechlay Sivilay thanked Mr. Dung as well as his delegation for visiting and wishing Laos traditional New Year.
Besides, he highly appreciated the help of Quang Nam province for Sekong province in the past time.
Mr. Lechlay Sivilay hoped to receive more Quang Nam’s support in investment, human resource training and early implementation of the MoU between the two localities...
