New Singaporean Ambassador to Vietnam visits Quang Nam

(QNO) - Ms. Catherine Wong Siow Ping, new Singaporean Ambassador to Vietnam paid a courtesy call on Quang Nam province on January 17th.

At the meeting, Chairman Thu congratulated Ms. Catherine on her new position and wished her mission to be successful. He also talked about the general socio-economic situation of Quang Nam province, the outstanding achievements in the process of construction and development after 20 years of re-establishment.

For the cooperative relationship between Quang Nam and Singaporean partners, there are 5 Singaporean FDI projects with a total capital of over USD 19 million in Quang Nam currently. Mr. Thu believed that the numbers would be improved and the relationship would be stepped up comprehensively in the near future.
On this occasion, Chairman Thu suggested Ms. Catherine helping Quang Nam call for the Singaporeans’ investment (especially in sea ports, tourism and services, construction and infrastructure), strengthen cultural exchanges and train high-quality human resources.

Ms. Catherine thanked for Quang Nam’s warm welcome. She also appreciated Quang Nam’s efforts and achievements during the past 20 years and promised to support the collaborative relationships between Quang Nam and Singaporean partners in all fields, especially in training high quality human resources.
