(QNO) - The number of tourists visiting and staying in Quang Nam increased significantly compared to the same period last year, with growth in both international and domestic visitors.
Specifically, the total number of visitors and tourists staying in Quang Nam during the Tet 2025 holiday (from the 26th day of the last lunar month to the 5th day of the first lunar month) is estimated at 395,000, marking a 30% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Among them, international visitors are estimated at 157,000, up 40%, while domestic tourists reached approximately 238,000, rising by 14% year-on-year.
Hoi An attracted the most visitors, offering vibrant cultural and artistic activities, entertainment, and experiential programs such as Bai Choi folk singing games, traditional music performances, Hat Boi theater, and folk games.
Alongside these were annual events that define Hoi An’s cultural identity, including the spring press festival, the Tet tree-planting festival, the New Year’s bamboo pole ceremony, spring boat racing, and community programs.
Reports indicate that accommodations in Hoi An ancient town were in high demand during Tet. The occupancy rate of 4-5 star hotels reached an estimated 90-95%, beachfront hotels around 70%, and 2-3 star hotels or equivalent approximately 60-65%.
