(QNO) - The first National Tourism Industry Summit took place in Ha Noi on the morning of October 7, 2023. Deputy Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee Ho Quang Buu took part in the event.
The National Tourism Industry Summit was under the National Start-Up Forum and the National Tourism Inter-Industry Congress with the participation of about 2,000 delegates.
According to Honorary Chairman of the National Start-up Association Vu Tien Loc, developing tourism as a key economic sector is an important strategic direction for the country's development, creating a driving force to promote the development of other industries and fields.
By 2030, Vietnam's tourism will be a key economic sector, which can strongly promote socio-economic and cultural development.
Vietnam is one of the countries with the most developed tourism industry in Southeast Asia, so it is necessary to make the economy develop by creating and developing tourism.
In terms of Quang Nam, the province has had several synchronous solutions in order to build Quang Nam to be a national centre for tourism and services in Vietnam and Central Vietnam.
Quang Nam is focusing on building the brand of Quang Nam - a green tourist destination; increasing its competitiveness, types of tourism, and tourism products.
At the same time, Quang Nam also develops responsible tourism, respecting the interests of all parties and regions, respecting traditional culture, and respecting visitors in their relationship with destination communities, minimising the negative impacts of tourism activities on the environment and local culture.
Moreover, Quang Nam encourages innovation and creativity; facilitating the development of tourism start-up models, sustainable and green tourism products, tourism associated with sports and new rural areas, with OCOP products, etc.
At the event, local and international tourism development experts shared their experiences in local tourism development. On this occasion, a signing ceremony to develop the national tourism ecosystem also took place.
Also within the framework of the National Start-Up Forum, The National Tourism Inter-Industry Congress had a round table connecting tourism investment and trade and a high-level conference to develop the national tourism business ecosystem with many thematic forums on the national tourism industry today.
