(QNO) - Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Thu had a working session with the delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on January 17th, 2019.
According to Chairman Dinh Van Thu, ADB has invested in Quang Nam with a lot of projects. They have worked well and considerably impacted on Quang Nam’s socio-economic development. However, there are some projects that have troubles. The project on developing Tam Ky city, for example, needs an extension of 6 months, till January 2020. The project on Climate Change Responses in Hoi An City also needs re-planning. At the meeting, Quang Nam asked ADB to pay more attention to two new projects: Infrastructure adapting to climate changes in the areas of ethnic minorities, and modernization of provincial irrigation infrastructure.
Mr. Norio Saito, Deputy Director of ADB Vietnam, lead of the delegation agreed to extend Tam Ky project by 6 months. Meanwhile the project in Hoi An will be studied and considered. For the two new projects, ADB promises to complete them soon to put them into operation in 2019
