Marche Polytechnic University surveys My Son Sanctuary

(QNO) - Scientists from Marche Polytechnic University (Italy) and Hue University (Vietnam) have recently had a working visit to My Son Sanctuary - a UNESCO’s world cultural heritage site.

They went there for a cooperative project on looking for solutions for national cultural heritage preservation and tourism development in Central provinces via information technology applications.

On behalf of the delegation from Marche Polytechnic University, Professor Fausto Pugnaloni highly appreciated the changes in terms of heritage conservation and tourism development there.

According to Professor Fausto Pugnaloni, the delegation went to My Son Sanctuary to make a survey on the conservation and tourism development at this UNESCO world cultural heritage.

After the survey, there will be some meetings and seminars relating to these issues.

During the process of its preservation and promotion, My Son world cultural heritage is always receiving the approval from the Government of Vietnam along with the support from other countries, international organisations and individuals, including the Government of Italy.

Reportedly, the preservation and restoration of Group G has finished. My Son heritage site hopes the Embassy of Italy in Vietnam and Marche Polytechnic University can help My Son with the projects on the excavation and restoration of Groups L, F, M, N.
