Jeneath Wong battled fiercely against Soomin Oh and Sumin Hong from South Korea, with the competition coming down to the final holes.

As the WAAP 2025 champion, Jeneath Wong received the prestigious Rae-Vadee T. Suwan medal and earned exemptions to compete in three of the world’s biggest women’s major championships: the AIG Women’s Open (Royal Porthcawl, Wales), The Chevron Championship (Texas, USA), and the Amundi Evian Championship (France).

Wong, who currently ranks 123rd in the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), also made history as the first non-teen winner of the WAAP Championship. The previous oldest winner was Chun-wei Wu, who triumphed at 19 years, 2 months, and 5 days old.

Vietnam’s Le Chuc An finished the tournament strong with a final-round 70, cementing her status as the nation's top-ranked female amateur golfer. Her total score of 284 strokes earned her a T30 finish, the best result for a Vietnamese golfer at the WAAP Championship. This surpassed the previous national best, a 51st-place finish by Doan Xuan Khue Minh in 2023.
