Reportedly, Hoi An Museum has just received 103 objects identified Chu Dau pottery. They were excavated from ancient wrecks in the water of Cham Islands (Hoi An city, Quang Nam province)

Right after receiving these objects, the museum has selected some typical ones for exhibition.

Most of them dates back to the 15th century, belonging to various types of cups, bowls, plates, jars, vases, etc. made by exquisite techniques and methods.

Their colours are diversified, including white, blue, celadon, green, light yellow, cracked and three-colour enamel, with a diversity of decorations, such as lotus, mums, peach, plants, birds, fish, natural landscapes, rustic villages, and daily life activities. All of them are of Vietnamese culture.

The exhibition space for Chu Dau pottery at Hoi An Museum is expected to help the public know more about the development of Vietnamese pottery and the international maritime trade route through Hoi An in the past.

It is also hoped to be attractive to more and more visitors to Hoi An.
