Lao delegation has a working visit to Quang Nam province

(QNO) - On Wednesday, during his reception for a high-level delegation from Sekong province (Laos) led by Governor Khamphoi Butdavieng to Quang Nam, Secretary of the  Quang Nam Party Committee Nguyen Ngoc Quang, on behalf of the province’s leaders, sent his deep condolences to the losses and damages Attapeu people suffered from the collapse of  Xepian-Xe Nam Noy hydropower dam in Laos.

According to Secretary Quang, the promotion conference tourism - investment in Sekong 2018 organized in Tam Ky city (Quang Nam province) on 26 July will open a new chapter in the traditional cooperative relationship between two parties. Quang Nam hoped to share experiences in investment promotion and appeal investors to Sekong province. At the same time, Quang Nam authorities will create opportunities for Vietnam’s enterprises to look for investment chances in Sekong, a potential land. Mr. Quang believed the East – West Economic Corridor 2 transport system from Sekong to Dac Ta Ooc border gate, Quang Nam province and Da Nang city will stimulate commercial and cultural exchanges between two provinces in particular and southern Laos’ and central Vietnam’s provinces as a whole.  

On behalf of Sekong province, Governor Khamphoi Butdavieng thanked for Quang Nam province’s help. The Sekong tourism-investment promotion conference 2018 in Tam Ky city is not only a chance for businesses of the two countries Laos and Vietnam to look for their investment opportunities but also a mutual support between the two countries in socio-economic development, special and traditional friendship solidarity.
