(QNO) - Secretary of the Quang Nam provincial Party Committee Phan Viet Cuong played host to a delegation from the Consulate General of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic in Da Nang city led by Consul General Souphanh Hadaoheuang on September 12.
At the meeting, Secretary Cuong hoped Lao Consul General Souphanh Hadaoheuang to help the friendship and cooperative relations between the Central and Central Highlands provinces of Vietnam and Lao localities develop, contributing to the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
Leaders of Quang Nam also talked about the provincial 25 years socio-economic achievements and the cooperative relations between Quang Nam and Lao localities and partners.
Secretary Cuong suggested the Consulate General of Laos in Da Nang continue to further promote the cooperation between Quang Nam province and Lao localities, especially Sekong, strengthen the connection between Southern Laos and Quang Nam as well as the central key economic region of Vietnam through the Nam Giang - Dac Ta Ooc international border gate.
On behalf of the Consulate General of Laos in Da Nang city, Mr. Souphanh Hadaoheuang expressed his deep gratitude to the Party Committee, authorities and people of Quang Nam for supporting the socio-economic development of Southern Laos’ localities.
He also believed Quang Nam will become an industrial, tourist and economic center of Central Vietnam.
Mr. Souphanh Hadaoheuang promised to try his best to strengthen the cooperative relationship between the two countries, especially between Quang Nam and Southern Laos’ provinces.
