Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam provincial People’s Committee Tran Van Tan has just received more than 1.4 billion VND from Chairman of the South Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KOCHAM) Kim Heung Soo.
The amount of money is aimed at helping Quang Nam overcome bad impacts of the last natural disasters.
South Korean Consul General in Da Nang city Ahn Min Sik and Chairman of Vietnam – South Korea Friendship Association of Quang Nam province Phan Thai Binh were present at the event.
According to Chairman Kim Heung Soo, the support came from South Korean businesses in Vietnam.
On behalf of the province’s leaders, Vice Chairman Tan thanked KOCHAM for the timely support to Quang Nam including Tien Phuoc district and other mountainous areas to overcome the consequences of recent natural disasters.
The support will be transferred to the people affected by the recent floods and storms as soon as possible.
At the meeting, Vice Chairman Tan hoped more and more South Korean businesses learn about investment and trading opportunities in Quang Nam through the Korean Consulate General in Da Nang and KOCHAM.
At the same time, the cooperative relationships between localities of South Korea and those of Quang Nam will be strenthenged.
