JICA's support in developing safe vegetable production and traditional fine art and handicraft products

(QNO) - On July 20, Quang Nam’s Union of Friendship Orgainsations received the delegation from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Minamiboso city to evaluate the results of the project funded by JICA in the last time and deploy a new project in the coming time.

Overview of the reception

In the second phase of the project, JICA funded more than 4 billion VND to support rice paper dryers for Huong Hue Cooperative Group; a safe vegetable shop for My Hung Cooperative (Thang Binh district), equipment for Tien Phuoc aloes wood craft village, a fine arts and handicraft shop at the farming store in Binh An Rest Stop, organizing some activities such as sightseeing, training courses, seminars…The project has helped to raise the local residents’ income and socio-economic development, and to build the model of from production to consumers.

From the results of the project’s second phase, JICA continues to fund nearly 10 billion VND for the new project “Developing a channel of goods selling via the link  between the locality and products and tourism- Opening safe vegetable production and developing the traditional fine art and handicraft products” deployed in March 2016 and is planned to finish in January 2019.
