Japanese experts visit My Son Sanctuary

(QNO) - A delegation of Japanese experts has just had a working session at My Son Sanctuary, a world cultural heritage recognised by UNESCO, located in Quang Nam province.

Among the experts were Prof. Yamagata Mariko from Rikkyo University and Dr. Kitahara Yu from Okayama University.

The delegation was expected to have plans to study My Son Sanctuary and other relics in Duy Xuyen district.

At the working session, Dr. Kitahara Yu talked about the application of geomagnetism and lodestone to determine the age of ancient terracotta objects and to discover the ancient things in the ground.

Besides, the visit of the Japanese experts also aimed at setting up coordination and cooperation programmes on using geomagnetism and lodestone for age determination of brick architecture in My Son.
