Japan's contributions to Hoi An cultural heritage preservation

(QNO) - A seminar on Japan’s role and contributions to the preservation of Hoi An cultural heritage has just jointly been held in Hoi An by Hoi An Center for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation (Quang Nam province), University of Science, Society and Humanity (Vietnam National University, Ha Noi) and Singapore National University.

At the seminar, the professors and researchers talked about Japan’s contributions to the conservation of Hoi An heritage, the role of Japan in the history of Southeast Asia,  the important part of Hoi An in the sea trade system, the reciprocal influences of culture and trade between Japan and the regional countries, the youth contributions to Southeast Asia (ASEAN) Community. Besides, the teachers and students from above universities had some exchanges, visited the ancient town, sites and relics in Hoi An city.
