(QNO) - The 14th International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC) 2018 takes place at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center from 6 to 8 September.

ITE is the largest and most established annual event in the Mekong area that is co-organized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism, Ho Chi Minh City’s People’s Committee. The event is a place where people can find their new business opportunities.

ITE HCMC has become an important event since its first appearance in 2005. It helps speed up trade promotion and attract tourists to Vietnam. Moreover, the event contributes to exchanging tourists and introducing tourist attractions to the world.

| Trading activities at the event |
ITE HCMC 2018 focuses on its market shares in Northeast Asia, North America, Europe and Southeast Asia. The event attracts over 40 countries and territories. It is a good chance for travel companies to advertise their inbound and outbound products.

Quang Nam including Hoi An Historic Hotel, Silk Sense Hoi An River Resort, Hoi An Silk Marina Resort & spa, Hoi An Central Boutique Hotel and spa, and Grandvio Ocean Resort shares a 54-m2 stand with Da Nang and Thua Thien Hue at ITE HCMC 2018. Besides, there are some enterprises with their own spaces at the event, such as Hoi An silk village, Lantern Hotel, and Phu Ninh Eco-Tourism.

At ITE HCMC 2018, there are 375 stands from 37 domestic provinces and cities, from international airlines, hotels and resorts, and travel agencies from Brunei, Cambodia, Germany, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Rusia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, and the UAE.

| Foreign visitors to the event |
It is expected that there will be 270 international customers, 50 outbound Vietnamese, and 30 thousand visitors to the event this year.

Some tourist programmes also take place at the event such as “Cambodia Tourism Night”, “Laos Tourism Night”, and Vietnam-China Tourism Cooperation. The ITE Online Matching System was put into operation a month ago to help the partners make appointments with each other effectively. Besides, there will be an exploring tour to Vietnamese seas and islands reserved for the event participants.
