Quang Nam is one of the localities that have cooperation with several international organizations in forest protection and wildlife conservation, including the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF), MacArthur Foundation, German Development Bank (KfW), Asian Development Bank (ADB), World Bank (WB), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Swedish International Development Cooperation Organization (SIDA), and Center for International Forestry Research.

All projects help Quang Nam forestry development, biodiversity observation, forest and forester growth among others. Hundreds of hectares of natural forests in Nam Giang, Tay Giang, Hiep Duc, Phuoc Son, Bac Tra My and Nong Son have been restored under the projects funded by KfW and WB. In the period of 2016-2020, the Green Annamites project financed by USAID helps protect natural forest landscapes in Central Vietnam.

Thanks to this project, forests are developed to adapt to climate change, reduce emissions and enhance resilience to protect people, landscapes and biodiversity. It is noteworthy that the Green Annamites project has helped to preserve gray-shanked douc langurs in Tam My Tay forest of Nui Thanh district.

In short, these international projects help the locals with steady livelihoods, stable income and CO2 emission reduction.
