(QNO) - The picture of an old woman who is seating in a lantern shop in Hoi An city (Quang Nam province) by Malaysian photographer Swee Choo Oh won the prize for Art and Culture from Sony World Photography Awards 2016.

This picture will finally compete with the others winning in different categories of the Sony World Photography Awards. The winner will be honored the Photographer of the Year- one of the world’ most prestigious photography prize. Swee Choo Oh captured this picture in February 2015 under a special impression of this old woman in the early morning.

Besides, the lantern festival in Hoi An city has just been selected as the Vietnam’s most attractive festival by famous Wanderlust travel magazine (United Kingdom). According to Wanderlust, Hoi An ancient town is famous for ancient architectures, busy river banks, a world’s cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO. At the same time, Hoi An was chosen top world’s most loveable tourism cities in 2015 by Wanderlust.
