(QNO) - Most localities with large-scale industries have witnessed significant growth in their industrial production index. The resurgence of many businesses in production and operations has actively contributed to local economic growth.
Compared to the same period in 2023, the industrial production index (IIP) of Quang Nam province increased by 34.1%, Bac Giang province by 21.9%, Hai Duong by 14.3%, Da Nang city by 14%, Binh Duong province by 13.6%, and Hai Phong city by 12.1%.
Quang Nam is also a locality with a strong IIP growth rate of 17.5% in the first 10 months of 2024, outperforming both national averages and large industrial regions.
Some key industries in Quang Nam province that saw a strong increase in their production index in the first 10 months of 2024 compared to the same period last year such as electronics, computers, optical products, textiles, pharmaceuticals, motor vehicle manufacturing.
The General Statistics Office stated that the positive industrial production results were partly driven by effective business support policies, including tax reductions, extended tax deadlines, and preferential loans to help restore production.
