(QNO) - The “Meet Indonesia” conference 2024 has just been co-hosted by the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Khanh Hoa People’s Committee, and the Indonesian Embassy in Vietnam in Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province.
Present at the event were Vietnamese localities’ representatives of Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, Gia Lai, Lam Dong, Nghe An, Ninh Thuan, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Quang Tri, Phu Yen, Thanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Indonesian officials, businesses, the Governor of East Java province etc.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the conference aimed to create opportunities for businesses and localities in the two countries to learn about opportunities and promote investment in the coming time.
At the conference, Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam Denny Abdi said that the conference would be a platform to identify cooperative activities and to connect between Indonesian and Vietnamese partners. Both countries have pledged to strengthen cooperation, including between governments, entrepreneurs, universities, and research institutions.
Chairman of the Khanh Hoa provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Tan Tuan, affirmed that the province is ready to welcome investors from Indonesia.
He hoped Indonesian businesses would accompany and cooperate with the province to share experiences and successes in developing sustainable tourism, a creative economy, a digital economy, and the and the appliance of high technology in sustainable agricultural and aquacultural production.
So, Khanh Hoa province wants to cooperate with Indonesian partners in fields such as tourism, high-tech mechanical engineering industry (mainly shipbuilding), clean energy industry, renewable energy, oil and gas, electronics and semiconductor industry, biotechnology industry, vaccine production, marine medicinal herbs, etc.
