(QNO) - Indian Coast Guard Ship Samudra Paheredar with 122 officers and crew members on board has docked at Da Nang port, beginning an official visit to Vietnam from October 14-16.

During the stay in Vietnam, officers and crew members will pay a courtesy visit to leaders from Da Nang city’s People’s Committee, the High Command of Military Zone 5, and the High Command of the Vietnam Coast Guard.

At the Vietnam Maritime Police Zone 2, crew members will also share experiences in preventing environmental pollution, take part in rehearsals on rescue and search work at sea with the Vietnam Coast Guard, and visit some beautiful landscapes in Da Nang, Quang Nam and Hue.

The visit aims to strengthen friendship, cooperation and mutual trust between the two armies as well as exchanging experiences to improve law enforcement capacity at sea among Vietnamese and Indian coast guards.
