India finances 2.5 million USD to preserve and restore the My Son Sanctuary

(QNO) - A group of Indian experts will come to Quang Nam province in coming May to survey and carry out a project of preserving and restoring the temples and towers of My Son Sanctuary site in Duy Xuyen district.

According to a memorandum on “Preserving and restoring the My Son World cultural heritage” signed in 2014 by the both governments Indian and Vietnam, the total capital for this 5-year project will be 2.5 million USD (over 54 billion VND), financed by Indian government.

During the process of the project, Indian partner will send technicians and support materials and equipment  to preserve and restore the temples and towers groups at My Son Sanctuary site. Quang Nam province will pay 85 workers with 18 billion VND in 5 years.
