(QNO) - The Tam Hai mural village restoration project was officially inaugurated on the morning of July 13th in Tam Hai commune, Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province.
Present at the ceremony were leaders of Nui Thanh district, Tam Hai commune, and University of Science and Technology - the University of Danang, along with a large number of local residents.
The Tam Hai mural village is located in Thuan An hamlet. It opened with more than 20 colourful and vibrant paintings in July 2017.
These paintings described the imagery and cultural features of Tam Hai, which made it a favourite destination for travellers and was highly appreciated for its attractiveness.
The mural village was the result of the efforts of about 20 students from the Faculty of Architecture, University of Science and Technology- the University of Danang.
Over the past seven years, the paintings have faded due to time, and some have been damaged by local construction and repairs, impacting the overall landscape.
Based on the current condition of the mural village and the local wishes, Tam Hai commune authorities, in collaboration with the Tam Hai Fellow Countrymen Association in Ho Chi Minh City and University of Science and Technology - the University of Danang, decided to implement the Tam Hai mural village restoration project in 2024.
The Tam Hai mural village restoration project was carried out with the volunteer participation of nearly 50 staff, lecturers, and students from June 29th to July 13th, 2024.
The Tam Hai mural village project is not just an artistic endeavour but a lesson of solidarity and community spirit.
