A dialogue between the authority of Hoi An city (Quang Nam province) and travel businesses to recover the local tourism post Covid-19 has just taken place.
At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Hoi An city’s People’s Committee Nguyen Van Lanh said the city received more than 840 thousand tourist arrivals in the first 9 months of 2020 (equal to 19.02% compared to the same period last year).
Most of the participants in the meeting thought that Hoi An's traditional guest market would continue to be "frozen" in the near future due to the impact of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
So, it is necessary to improve products in accordance with each specific customer market. It is the improvement of old town landscapes, the re-planning of the space for tourism product development, the night economic development, and the Hoi An tourism promotion after the epidemic.
Leaders of Hoi An said the city will continue to effectively implement epidemic prevention; support for travel businesses damaged by the epidemic; manage the tourism environment, improve tourism products and services…to unbind travel businesses’ difficulties and attract tourists around the world to this beautiful city.
