(QNO) - A meeting programme to connect Hoi An (Quang Nam province) and Quang Binh tourism has just been organized in Hoi An city by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam in collaboration with Quang Binh provincial Tourism Department. The event attracted the travel agencies from Quang Nam and Quang Binh provinces and Da Nang city.

Quang Binh is one of the leading provinces that have advantages, potential and rich resources for tourism development in Vietnam. Its most attractive destination is Phong Nha- Ke Bang National Park – a World Natural Heritage. It is home to thousands of valuable big and small caves (such as Son Doong, En, Thien Duong, Tien Son, Dark), rivers, primary forests with a rich flora and fauna system.
In addition, Quang Binh has a 116km coastline with many beautiful beaches of clear water, smooth sand (such as Nhat Le, Bao Ninh, Quang Phu, Da Nhay, Hai Ninh), and beautiful and neglected hot springs ... In 2017, Quang Binh welcomed more than 3.3 million visitors, including 130,000 international visitors. Quang Binh becomes the fourth most attractive destination in Vietnam by Trip Advisor.

Similarly, Hoi An is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Vietnam. In 2017, Hoi An welcomed 3.22 million visitors, including 1.78 million international visitors. Visitors to Hoi An ancient town reached 2.38 million (up 28.16%), and over 400,000 visitors to Cham Islands.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Director of the Quang Nam Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Ngoc Tuong affirmed that tourism is a interdisciplinary and inter-regional economic branch. Therefore, tourism connection plays a very important role. The event would be an cooperative opportunity for businesses of two localities.

According to Vice Chairman of the Quang Binh People's Committee Tran Tien Dung, tourism connection between the two localities is the linking between craft villages’ cultural ecotourism in Quang Nam and natural exploration in Quang Binh, promoting the development of both Quang Nam and Quang Binh tourism. The two localities will cooperate in supporting and promoting so that visitors to Hoi An can come to Quang Binh and vice versa.
