(QNO) - The “Hoi An Night in Sakai” program was organized in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture (Japan) on the evening of April 26 by the government of Sakai City, the International Exchange Association, the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association of Sakai City and the government of Hoi An City.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Japan, Pham Quang Hieu, Consul General of Vietnam in Osaka, and Consul General of Vietnam in Fukuoka were present at the event.
The "Hoi An Night in Sakai" program introduced to the Japanese public an art program imbued with Hoi An's cultural colors, such as traditional musical instrument ensembles, folk singing, folk dancing, and Bai Choi art singing.
Artists from Hoi An told emotional stories about a poetic and nostalgic town, thereby leaving visitors with deep impressions of a land rich in heritage.
Also at the program, Hoi An introduced the city’s tourism and services, displaying lanterns and handicraft products. This contributes to promoting the image of the beautiful, talented, and creative land of Hoi An, thereby attracting tourists to the city.
The "Hoi An Night in Sakai" program also aims to enhance mutual understanding and promote the bilateral relations as well as cultivate the close relationships between the two localities of Hoi An and Sakai, the friendliness and diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.
