The Hoi An Festival of “Ao dai and Vietnam’s tourist attractions” will take place on the stage of Hoi An Memories shows on June 14, 2020.
As it is called, the Hoi An Festival of “Ao dai and Vietnam’s tourist attractions” will tell its spectators the story of ‘Ao dai’ (traditional Vietnamese costume) through Vietnam’s tourist attractions nationwide along the national history.
At the event, there will be 17 ‘Ao dai’ collections attached to 17 Vietnam’s tourist attractions including Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Ha Long Bay, Trang An Landscape Complex, My Son Sanctuary, Hoi An’s Japanese Bridge, Phong Nha- Ke Bang National Park and Cultural space of Gongs in Central Highlands.
The ‘Ao dai’ collections will be performed on the stage of Hoi An Memories show by more than 200 actors, actresses, famous models and singers.
Different from it on Vietnam’s silk road of the Hoi An Memories show, “Ao dai” in the Hoi An Festival of “Ao dai and Vietnam’s tourist attractions” will be a long story of the development of the traditional Vietnamese ‘Ao dai’ from past to present and into future.
So, the event is a combination of ancient and modern art performances. According to some designers, it is not easy to have a perfect combination of Vietnam’s tourist attractions and traditional ‘Ao dai’. However, they hope that their collections will partly express the Vietnamese culture, people and lanscapes on the background of the Vietnam’s traditional ‘Ao dai’ and regional typical music.
The festival is also expected to be a unique combination between traditional and modern values, showing the eternal vitality of Vietnamese ‘Ao dai’.
