(QNO) - The first international tourists visited Hoi An ancient town including Chua Cau (the Japanese Bridge), Tan Ky ancient house and enjoyed other unique tourism products in Hoi An city on November 20.
They are the first international tourists to come to Quang Nam province after 2 years of lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
These tourists use the services provided in a closed tour, staying at Hoiana Resort, visiting a number of destinations in Quang Nam including Hoi An ancient town, My Som Sanctuary on schedule to ensure the Covid-19 pandemic control.
They all have a vaccine passport, a negative Covid-19 PCR test within 72 hours before departure, and a return ticket, among other requirements.
Mr. Gundlach (from the United States), one of the first international tourists to Quang Nam, said his wife is a Vietnamese. He waited so long for the trip. He was surprised at the warm and sincere welcome of everybody here.
Mr. John Coles - another international tourist said, “Local people are very friendly. I also love the peaceful atmosphere in Hoi An city. Everything is so wonderful. I just want to say thank-you to all".
According to Vice Chairman of the Hoi An city People's Committee Nguyen Van Lanh, the visit of the first international tourists is an important encouragement to the Hoi An tourism recovery after a long “frozen” period due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
