(QNO) - Hoi An (Quang Nam province) with beautiful natural landscapes and historical cultural values is speeding up the development of green tourism which is now a global trend.
Responding to the Vietnam National Tourism Year 2022- Quang Nam: A Green Tourist Destination, a lot of green tourism activities have taken place in Hoi An city.
One example is Hoi An fair where environmentally friendly products are sold. More interestingly, the fair says ‘no’ to plastic bags, and it is approved by residents and visitors.
Saying ‘no’ to plastic bags is a typical programme in Hoi An launched for years.
Besides, there are some others such as Cu Lao Cham biodiversity conservation and limited use of plastic utensils.
At the same time, several models of clean and organic farming have been developed in association with tourism activities popular with visitors.
It is the foundation for Hoi An to develop green tourism models that contribute to improving the attractiveness and competitiveness of Hoi An tourism.
According to leaders of Hoi An city, green tourism will help Hoi An tourism develop sustainably and its tourism resources to be preserved and reproduced.
