(QNO) - According to Travel Off Path, Hoi An is the best destination for digital nomads. The first criterion falls into its low cost of living, with particularly low prices observed for food and rent.
Travel Off Path offers some reasons why Hoi An is the number one nomad hotspot.
The first reason is the attractive consumer price. Westerners are able to have a much higher quality of life when relocating to Hoi An.
According to Travel Off Path, nomads love Hoi An in particular for how cheap it is to live in: just $840 a month, accommodation ($248) and daily expenses included. The cost is far less than rent alone in any popular U.S. or Western European city.
A bowl of pho will cost less than $2. It is unlikely for someone to spend over $150 on groceries per month.
Additionally, the relaxed visa policies make it easier for them to stay longer without resorting to once-a-month visa runs.
Travel Off Path goes onto the next reason: the culture and architecture in Hoi An. The page calls Hoi A the prettiest historic town in Vietnam, "a maze-like, yellow-washed Historic Zone."
Another reason is its favourable geographical location and diverse travel services. It is located near the sea, within short driving distance of unspoiled beaches, and the verdant hills of Central Vietnam.
Hoi An is a favourite among nomads for one final reason: safety. The chances of nomads in this historic city being harassed, experiencing any sort of crime or violent act, or even scamming are minimal, if not zero.

Travel Off Path also mentions a cost of $2,520 for a three-month stay in Vietnam while it is $2,961 for a one-month stay in Tokyo (Japan), and an eye-watering $4,233 in Singapore.
