(QNO) - In the morning of April 4, in Hoi An, the Japanese organization of disaster management and environmental education (SEEDS ASIA) organized a seminar “The integration of natural disaster risk reduction and ecotourism development”. The seminar guided people and tourists how to protect themselves from emergencies and reduce damages to houses, relics, tourist businesses … in areas which are threatened by flood and storm.
According to this seminar, Quang Nam tourism industry is affected by climate change and natural disasters. Therefore, the local government, tourism businesses and people need to know how to cope with disasters to protect the lives and property. SEED ASIA is deploying a project to prevent disasters in 6 coastal districts and cities of Quang Nam.
