Guided tour activities at Kim Bong carpentry village take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Visitors can choose to travel by river or by road to the village centre to learn about the history and culture of Kim Bong carpentry village.

They can visit the traditional craft village exhibition house, boat building and repair facilities, woodcraft production sites, and the Cam Kim market.

Visitors can watch traditional crafts performances and participate in activities such as wood carving, mat weaving, wicker baskets and coracle making. In particular, every tour-ticket buyer can get a keepsake crafted by Kim Bong craftspeople.

The goal of the guided tour programme is to raise awareness of the traditional Kim Bong carpentry village's historical and cultural significance, transform it into a tourist attraction that can satisfy the varied needs of visitors, and help the locals' standard of living.

Recently, the Hoi An administration approved a few projects in Cam Kim related to the development of craft villages and tourism.

They include building the eco-craft villages in the period of 2021-2025, the restoration and development of tourism at Kim Bong carpentry village, and the development of community-based tourism associated with indigenous cultural preservation and natural ecosystem conservation.

Particularly in its application for the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, Hoi An proposed the initiative related to the project 'Kim Bong Carpentry - Igniting Creativity,' which focuses on further developing the traditional Kim Bong carpentry village, with the craft recognised as a national intangible cultural heritage.
