(QNO) - Quang Nam, responding to the 2022 National Tourism Year, has been organising tourism activities based on the criteria for green tourism and environmental protection. The province is determined to become a green tourism hub of Vietnam.
According to Quang Nam leaders, the province owns great potential for tourism development with a lot of tourist attractions. More and more visitors choose Quang Nam for their holidays.
As the host of the Vietnam National Tourism Year 2022, Quang Nam gets an enormous advantage in tourism recovery and development.
It is a chance for Quang Nam to introduce, advertise and promote the local green tourism.
Quang Nam is also one of the first localities to announce its target of green tourism, towards safe and sustainable tourism.
The theme of Quang Nam- a green tourism destination contributes to the development of Quang Nam tourism brand with local characteristics.
Several green tourism models have been founded, such as Thanh Dong organic vegetables and tourism cooperative, Cam Thanh nipa palm forest, Tra Que vegetables village, Kim Bong carpentry village, Thanh Ha pottery village, My Son community-based tourism village, Cam Phu community-based tourism village, Nam Tra My Ngoc Linh ginseng tourism among others.
Going to these places, visitors have great chances to experience the local daily activities, take part in local festivals, learn about local cultural features, especially cultures of ethnic minorities in the western region of Quang Nam.
Currently, several green tourism models comes into operation in Hoi An city of Quang Nam province. Among them are clean farms such as Heal Organic Farm, Cam Ha Cam Ha Agricultural Service Cooperative.
Besides producing clean and safe agricultural products, these models provides tourism services.
Green growth is currently identified as a strategic focus for socio-economic development, ensuring sustainable development in different countries around the world.
Green tourism development is considered essential and important in Vietnam’s sustainable development.
