Linh’s lemon glue product is made from lemon and rock sugar. It is used to get rid of sore throat, coughs, and phlegm.

Linh uses the local seedless lemon which is also a 3-star OCOP product of Quang Nam.

Talking about the process of producing lemon glue with rock sugar, Linh said that the local lemons are soaked in salty water to get rid of bitterness and dirt.

Then, they are sliced, soaked in rock sugar and distilled for 12 hours in clay pots without any additives nor preservatives in order to keep the medicinal properties of the lemon and to ensure food safety and hygiene.

Linh’s lemon glue with rock sugar is named Thuy Duong. The Thuy Duong lemon glue with rock sugar is now popular with consumers from different localities in the country, such as Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Quang Nam.

Linh needs over a ton of fresh lemons a year to produce lemon glue with rock sugar.

She is planning to boost her production, investing in machinery and equipment, developing the brand and promoting advertising.

She hopes to develop more products from lemon so that she can contribute to the local poverty alleviation by consuming lemons - a local popular agricultural product.
