(QNO) - The innovative start-up ecosystem in Danang city is developing well and the city is making every effort to found a national centre for innovative start-ups.
The Danang city’s People’s Committee has spent VND 3.4 billion supporting 18 innovative start-ups and VND 5.1 billion helping 46 businesses with innovation and intellectual property.
Besides, the city has come to universities’ and businesses’ aid with a city’s centre for innovative start-ups, 2 university innovation centres, 4 creative spaces, and 9 incubators for 6–8 projects a year.
Many start-up projects have been successful, such as Datbike, Selly, and Hekate.
The goal of Danang City is to develop the city into a socio-economic hub in Vietnam and ASEAN in the role of a centre for innovative start-ups by 2030, an ecological and smart city by 2045, and a national innovative start-up hub then.
To achieve the goal, Danang focuses on building and upgrading the infrastructure of information and technology (IT), telecommunications in order to satisfy investors’ demands.
The city is currently calling for investment in 9 industrial parks, high-tech and IT areas, including the software park 2.
Reportedly, the Danang software park 2 is expected to come into operation by the end of 2023.
It will be the place for IT and telecommunications, innovative start-ups, and building the national hub for innovative start-ups.
